Free entry at Hamilton Gardens

It is currently free to enter all areas of Hamilton Gardens. 

From spring 2024, visitors 16 years of age and over will be required to pay a $20 entry fee to visit the Enclosed Gardens. Visitors under 16 years of age, Hamilton residents (with proof of address) will remain free.  

Cost of entry – starting from spring 2024 when the new Visitor Centre opens:

  • Children aged 0-15 - FREE ENTRY
  • Hamilton residents and HCC ratepayers – FREE ENTRY (proof of address required)
  • All other visitors - $20.

Charging for entry will help us to cover the costs of maintaining the gardens and improve the visitor experience.
