Accessible parking

Parking for people with limited accessibility is reserved in each of the main carparks accessible from Gate 1 and Gate 2.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome at Hamilton Gardens.

Cafe access

The Hamilton Gardens Café is accessible to wheelchairs and scooters and has accessible toilet facilities.

Pathway gradient

Most paths in the gardens are at less than a one in twelve grade. However the paths up to the Camellia Carpark and Victorian Flower Garden are steeper and we advise parking in the Camellia Carpark accessible from Gate 2 for easier access to the top areas of Hamilton Gardens.

Some gardens are not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters. Please see our accessibility guide map.

Accessible toilets

There are accessible toilets beside the Red Arch, inside the Pavilion, and beside the playground.

Changing Places

A Changing Places facility is located beside the playground (Gate 2). This controlled entry facility caters to the needs of people with significant physical impairments.

If you require regular access to this facility please contact the Changing Places charity to become a registered user and receive an access keyring. If you are passing through Hamilton, please visit our Information Centre or call us prior to your visit so we can assist.

Wheelchair and mobility scooter hire

Unfortunately Hamilton Gardens is not able to offer hire of mobility scooters or wheelchairs during Level 2.
