Thoroughly enjoyed the highlights tour with Tour Guide Chrissen today. I learnt lots of new things about the gardens, despite having visited on my own many times. I had heard these gardens were special and they certainly are so we booked a tour some weeks in advance.
The $25pp charge was great value as our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and we got an excellent overview of the different gardens and the history. Our guide described the Hamilton gardens like this, 'Botanic gardens are collections of plants but the Hamilton Gardens are a collection of gardens'. Brilliant. Highly recommended for all age groups including families. Take a picnic or buy lunch at the on-site cafe.
