Pacific Rose Bowl Festival
Held annually in Rogers' Rose Garden, the Pacific Rose Bowl Festival is held under the Pacific Accord of Friendship to promote roses to the public.
Introduced and New Zealand bred roses are voted for each year by the public. This is the only rose trial in the world that has a public voting system, all other trials are judged by panels of experts. The winning rose receives the prestigious ’New Zealand Rose of the Year’ award.
There is a Children’s Choice award which is voted for by local school children who attend the festival event.
All members of the public are very welcome to attend this free event and vote for their favourite 10 roses.
