4 shows you won't want to miss

The team from the Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival is back again, utilising nearly every square inch of Hamilton Gardens for two weeks of arts and frivolity. The festival calendar is crammed with events so to help you out, here's our picks for the first half of this action-packed extravaganza:

2020 Vision: Michèle A’Court

Get sharp and be ready for this solo show by one of New Zealand's top comedians, the irrepressible Michèle A'Court. Her last tour provoked reviews such as '...afterwards you immediately message your friends saying “you have got to see this!”' so don't lose focus and miss out.

Opera Botanica

This will be the opera equivalent of a floral bouquet, sung by some of this country’s most talented young singers. A mix of well-loved moments by the big names like Mozart, Puccini and Verdi, plus a few unfamiliar gems. Perfect for a connoisseur and for someone ready to take their first sniff.
