Waikato Horticultural Society – The Fairfield Project

November 2019
Thu 28th

Native Fern

The meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month (February through November) starting at 7.30pm.

To assist with speakers’ expenses visitors will be charged $5 per meeting. Students are free.

Come along and hear Vic Arcus who will present the work of the Kukutaruhe Education Trust at Fairfield College and the restoration of the adjacent gully.

Meetings start with a brief introduction about forthcoming functions and visits, then the guest speaker presents. Following that, one of our more knowledgeable members discusses the plants brought along for the display table. The meeting finishes with supper, which is when our raffle is drawn. There are also plants from members’ gardens for sale.

Meetings in 2019 will be held in a Wintec classroom which is across the car park from the Chartwell Square Room in the Hamilton Gardens complex, Cobham Drive. Access is from Gate 2 on Cobham Drive.
