Hamilton Tulip Festival

Admission to the Tulip Festival is free.


The tulip is the national flower of the Netherlands and while the tulips flower in springtime we like to share the Dutch culture with people in the Waikato.  After you have admired the tulip beds on the Cobham Drive side of the Hamilton Gardens, you can soak up the Dutch ‘gezelligheid’ inside the Pavilion.
At the festival there will be a range of traditional Dutch foods for sale and The Gouda Cheese Shop stall offers many Dutch products. The famous Meijer cheese which is produced locally and the winner of many cheese awards will available to taste and purchase.

Local community groups will entertain the audience with song and dance throughout the day.
